IS YOUR COMPANY PREPARED?

Presenter:  Donald Gregory, MA, MPA

Donald Gregory has over 30 years in law enforcement.  This includes service as a US Marine Military Policeman (Vietnam Era), 20 years with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and the Division of Corrections (retired as of January 2016).  Donald also served 10 years as the Director of Training for the Shelby County Training Academy for the Shelby County Corrections Department and 14 years with the Memphis Police Department at the Memphis Police Department Training Academy as a firearms instructor in rifle, shotgun and pistol.

Donald is currently self-employed as the owner of the USA Training Academy which provides concealed carry permit training.  He also serves as an adjunct faculty member with the University of Phoenix and Southwest Tennessee Community College teaching criminal justice classes.

Donald graduated from the University of Memphis with two Masters Degrees; one in Public Administration & the second in Criminology & Criminal Justice. He is a NRA Certified Training Counselor and a certified State of Tennessee Firearms Instructor. 

Program:

The presentation will include information on what is an active shooter, what actions you and/or your employees should take if confronted with an active shooter situation, how will be the police respond to an active shooter and what your company can do to prepare you employees for an active shooter situation.

The presentation will also include a brief video from the Department of Homeland Security on the active shooter and a brief history of active shooters in the United States.
